Vincent J. Wegher, P.E., Esq.

Vince is an experienced construction and surety lawyer and commercial attorney who has advised and represented all types of businesses and individuals regarding a broad spectrum of legal issues. He has handled claims, cases and transactions for insurance carriers, sureties, design professionals, general contractors, subcontractors, small businesses, intellectual property clients and many others.

Vince is also a Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensed in Colorado with ten plus years of practical engineering, design and construction experience. His engineering background provides him with a real-world understanding of construction matters, project design, administration and contracting issues. He uses this knowledge combined with his legal experience to handle and litigate surety bond claims, professional liability claims, construction defect claims, mechanic’s liens and foreclosure actions, payment disputes, delay and disruption claims, building code violation claims, concealed site condition claims, premise liability claims, arbitration clause disputes, Spearin Doctrine claims and all different types of contract disputes.

The commercial portion of his practice includes negotiating and drafting contracts, settlement agreements, releases, mechanic’s liens, promissory notes, deeds of trust, easements, mortgages, buy/sell agreements relating to commercial businesses, licenses, leases, distribution and sales agreements, and creditor bankruptcy filings and adversary actions for commercial clients.

He is also well versed in resolving matters via alternative dispute resolution, mediation and arbitration under the American Arbitration Association – Construction Industry Rules and has appealed construction related cases to the Kentucky Court of Appeals and Missouri Court of Appeals.
